Our world is chaotic. Peter wrote this letter to help the church recognize false teachers and doctrine. He encourages them to trust the Scriptures and recognize truth. When they live in this truth, they will grow in the grace of God and knowledge of Jesus Christ. This will help them perserve through life’s trials.
