The apostle Paul wrote Ephesians when he was imprisoned in Rome.  Unable to meet with the the congregants in Ephesus, he wrote the church this letter. He desires to show them how God’s eternal plans can help them overcome their darkest hours and to remind them that God’s Spirit gives them the strength that they need to overcome everyday obstacles and spiritual oppression. When Christ’s grace and peace are the focus of their lives, they can display God’s hope to the world around them.
