Galatians

Galatians875

Which Gospel do you rely on? The church in Galatia faced a choice between two “gospels”–two ways of approaching a relationship with God, two ways of looking at life. On one side were the teachers who told these young Christians that their performance mattered. To be right with God, they needed to trust Christ, but they also needed their own efforts. On the other side was the church-planting apostle, Paul. He said that the only performance that mattered was Christ’s: his life, death, and resurrection.

Which gospel they relied on really mattered. The choice between the gospel of Christ-alone and the false Christ-plus version still confronts us today.

The false one is attractive, but deadly. The real one sets us free, now and eternally. In the book of Galatians, Paul will present us with the wonderful, liberating true gospel. He’ll show us how our problems in the Christian life stem from forgetting or failing to live by that gospel.

This 10 week study will deepen our understanding of the gospel, and help us to apply it to every aspect of our lives.

CrossWay Church’s sermons are engaging and relevant to your life.  We preach expositional sermons.  This means, we look at a few verses from the Bible each week and learn what they mean and how they apply to our lives today.  We usually go straight through an entire book of the Bible.  We also rotate between the Old and New Testament books (or larger sections of them) every couple of months so hear from both sections of our Bible. For a little variety, we also do short topical sermon series 2-3 times a year.
