CrossWay Church is currently studying the book of Judges. It contains some of the craziest and dramatic stories in the Bible. It describes the time period in the nation of Israel when “everyone did what was right in his own eyes”. While this may seem good, Judges teaches us that it actually brought about all kinds of personal and societal chaos.
The book of Judges reminds us that God is at work in the midst of all of this even though it didn’t always feel that way. The people of Israel constantly rejected him, yet God heard their cries. He used broken heroes, called judges, to free his people from the oppression they faced. God still works the same way today in our lives!
CrossWay took a break from this book for a little while. We plan to preach through the later half of the book in 2020.
